SGT Steve Owen Memorial Park

Formerly known as Lancaster City Park, Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park is a 63-acre, tree-lined park that is a hub of community activity. The park was named in 2016 in honor of the fallen officer, who died in the line of duty that year. The Stanley Kleiner activity center was built in the mid-1980s, named after the city’s first Mayor, and features a full kitchen, game room and auditorium. The park features eight lighted tennis courts, basketball, volleyball courts, our Big 8 Softball Complex, a large covered group picnic shelter, picnic tables and a playground.

Forrest E Hull Park

Apollo Community Regional Park

Pets are welcome to visit Apollo Park as long as they are on a leash, Apollo park boast a great spot for fishing and family picnic. A great location to take the whole family for an outing. There are duck and geese that reside at the park that can begiven food as long as it is safe for consumption for the feathered park dwellers.

Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland State Park

Dogs are welcome at the picnic area at Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland State Park but like other state parks In California they are not allowed on the trails. This park preserves native Joshuas and junipers which once grew in great abundance throughout the valley. The park is free to enter and is open from sunrise to sunset.

Sam Yellen Park and Dog Park

Developed in 2017, the 12.5 acre Sam Yellen Park and Dog Park is located at 5100 East Avenue S next to Barrel Springs Elementary. Palmdale Dog Park is pet-friendly. This popular fenced-in area is contained within a larger park with a large field, adventure play area, pathways for leashed wandering, and a pretty landscape. The dog park itself has a separate area for large and small dogs. There are lot things to do in Palmdale.

Devils Punchbowl Trail

Your Dog will love this trail for some great outdoor fun and sun walk.

Devils Punchbowl Trail is an easy, 1.2 mile hike in Devils Punchbowl Natural Area that will take about 1 hour to complete with Fido. This trail where the San Andreas Fault comes together with the Pinyon and Punchbowl Faults; the result is some spectacular land formations. Take in Pleasant View Ridge and if you look to the south you will see the San Gabriel Mountains. The faults have also formed beautiful rock formations at some interesting angles.
